Curva Chiusa is a moving sound performance group operating in various locations since 2001. The sounds, composed by the group as well as by many other operators, are carried by bicycles, by pole singers, on walk abouts and marches, including missions of silence.

Never again shall a loudspeaker be subject to detention!

 

The dead, the born ahead of us and he who calls himself Father are many. Countrymen on their way home upon bicycles listening to the circus of sport unwind or to the transmissions of commanders of force; the never ending buzz of trucks and bees and flies passing by, merry-go-rounds, an arriving train, Doppler, a sister chasing a hen, annoying mosquitoes, escaping from who is speaking to you, helicopters transmitting Wagner, passings.

 

It may suffice to say that we are those who move and having evidence and suspect that others are moving as well, we take to the cycle, (bicycles today because another day we could easily move by motor,) with the intention of going for a spin in order to fluctuate the geographic positions of great musical creations in the history of mankind: orchestras, ensembles, bands and single individuals.

From our sources and our speakers, forever ant-static, we shall utter and divulge great names like Johan Sebastian Bach, locally known as A.B., C.D.  Humans and non comprise the infinitely vast sonic et cetera.

 

Blow the whistle on these ideas!

They want us deaf!

 

Prepare your bicycles together with your cycles and your transmitters, be ready: the moment can arrive at anytime.  But it must keep moving. We hope to remember the batteries, the wires, the brakes... LONG LIVE CURVA CHIUSA.
